On July 30th 100 of our neighbors (50 Families) lost their homes and all their belongings as a result of the deviating Ashwood Apartment Fire. We have been working with area churches, non-profits, government agencies and businesses to walk with these families through this crisis.
While this fire has been devastating it has also been amazing to see our community come together. When so many are divided over politics or because of pandemics Pottstown has come together through love of Neighbor! Well done Pottstown!
**Relief Update as of September 24th**
Housing Update:
1 Resident remains hospitalized
25 Families have found permanent housing
14 Families are living with Friends or Family
10 Families are living in area hotels
(all hotel expenses have been and are being covered at least through October 2nd)
Relief Center Update: Closing October 1st
The Ashwood Family Relief Center is housed at the Sanatoga Liberty Thrift Community Room and is open to the Ashwood families on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30p - 7p or by appointment.
The Relief Center's Last Day of Operation will be Thursday October 1st
The Relief Center is no longer accepting donations ecsept for the following items.
Jackets,
Hoodies,
Coates,
Towels (kitchen and bath),
Laundry Detergent,
New Small Home Goods
New Men's underwear (size M and L)
Gift Cards

Furniture Donations Update:
All Furniture Donations can be made to the Chest County Wear House or coordinated directly with families through the Ashwood Families Support Page on Facebook.
Faith Based Support:
15 areas churches have "adopted" many of the Ashwood Families and area available to assist these families with "boots on the ground" assistance and or any spiritual help they may desire. Ashwood families are not asked to go to these churches but the churches are going to the Ashwood families! To date 30 of the 50 families have an adopted church.
